Publications
Since the early 2000s, overdose has increasingly become a public health concern to Philadelphia residents. Each year, the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction (SUPHR) publishes reports that describe Philadelphia’s trends in morbidity and mortality associated with substance use, as well as policies enacted and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health’s (PDPH) community response to help alleviate the effects of the overdose crisis. These reports include our annual reports (both for the division and Overdose Fatality Review) and CHARTs. CHART is a publication by PDPH that highlights local topics in public health issues to kick-start a conversation.
