Overdose Memorial

Join us in honoring the lives of people lost to fatal overdose in Philadelphia.

Below is a tribute to more than 200 Philadelphians who lost their lives to the overdose crisis. We are always accepting submissions, if you would like to add your loved one to this memorial page.

The memorial is entirely user submitted and is not representative of everyone in Philadelphia that has been lost to overdose. Substance use and overdose are still very stigmatized, so not everyone may feel comfortable and safe openly remembering their loved one

Questions or concerns about your submission? Email SUPHR Communications Manager Fatimah Maiga at fatimah.maiga@phila.gov

About the project

This memorial project began in 2022 with the creation of a pop-up Overdose Memorial Garden in Center City, Philadelphia.

If you or someone you know is struggling with the loss of a loved one to overdose or substance use, our Philly HEALs team is here to help. We provide free support services specific to the complex and traumatic grief from a fatal overdose.
